Our Story

Hi, I'm Teri, founder of Watermelon Tree Design.  You might wonder, "Why Watermelon Tree?"  The name comes from a cherished childhood memory of growing up as a Navy brat in Southern California.  One day, I innocently declared, "I don't know what smells better- orange blossoms or watermelon trees!" Though watermelon trees might not exist, the story has stayed with me all these years as a reminder of childhood wonder, imagination, and seeing the world through a child's eyes.

Today, that same spirit inspires everything I create.

As a mother of four and grandmother of cherished family memories, I understand how much love goes into preparing for a new baby. A nursery is more than a room. It's a dream taking shape. It's the place where bedtime stories will be read, tiny fingers will curl around yours, and precious memories will begin.
